Who is Stefan Nikolić?

Stefan Nikolić is a car detailer and instructor with over ten years of experience. In 2016 he co-founded Titanium LTD in Belgrade, Serbia, which imported and distributed Chemical Guys, XPEL and Auto Finesse and ran a detailing shop that detailed 400 to 600 cars a year. He now teaches car detailing through four Udemy courses and two Kindle books.

01 — Beginning

Starting from zero

In late 2015, my brother and I saw an opportunity: a large market with little competition. Neither of us had professional detailing experience, but we had a clear plan. We wanted to build our own ecosystem, with a unique approach, a strong brand, and processes built around quality and trust.

After completing a training program at Smart Detailing University by Chemical Guys in the Czech Republic, we launched Titanium LTD Belgrade in January 2016, importing and distributing Chemical Guys, XPEL and later Auto Finesse across Serbia.

02 — The work

400 to 600 cars a year

I didn’t spend those years behind a desk. I spent them detailing cars, talking to clients, selling products, fixing mistakes and staying long hours at the shop. Over the years we detailed between 400 and 600 cars annually, from standard interior cleans to full PPF installations. My team and I worked on everything from neglected daily drivers to full paint corrections.

Running the shop meant writing the internal manuals, standard operating procedures and scripts we used with clients. That is where I learned that explaining a process clearly is a completely separate skill from performing it well.

What may look simple on the surface has a lot of depth underneath. Understanding the finer details saves time, prevents damage, and builds the kind of trust that keeps clients coming back. Avoiding a dogmatic approach and understanding what you are doing is what separates good detailers from great ones.

03 — Teaching

Why I teach

Next to detailing and distribution, I handled the brand and marketing side and we held in-person training for aspiring detailers. Teaching was always my favorite part. Working with people and sharing real experience deepens your own understanding.

“By teaching, we learn.”

04 — Today

Teaching what I learned

I left Titanium in 2023 and carried on importing and supplying detailing products on my own, which kept me close to what shops actually buy and what is just marketing.

Today I teach that process online. More than 1,000 students in over 90 countries have taken my courses, and the questions they ask keep shaping what I add next. The courses are deliberately short and practical: no filler, no “buy this expensive machine first”, just the working methods and the small decisions that separate a good result from an average one. If something in a lesson isn’t clear, ask. I read and answer everything.

These courses and books are the sum of everything I have built over the years. Not theory from a textbook, but real techniques, real workflows and real lessons from thousands of hours behind a polisher, a steam cleaner and a pressure washer.
