What should you figure out before you open a detailing business?
Three questions, before you buy equipment or sign a lease. Is there demand in your market, and who are you up against? What do you have to charge to cover your costs and make a profit? How much money do you need to start, and how long until you earn it back?
Skill decides how good your work is. The answers to these decide whether the business lasts. The Car Detailing Business Course walks through them step by step, with formulas and templates included.
What does the Car Detailing Business Course cover?
Market and competitors
Score your local market to see whether it is built for enthusiasts or everyday customers, then analyze real competitors' websites, Google listings and Instagram to find your edge.
Services, location and space
Build a service menu, choose a location and equip a working space for exterior, interior and polishing work.
Costs and pricing
Work out your fixed costs and material costs, then set prices with a pricing calculator instead of guesswork, so you know how much to charge for car detailing.
Team structure
See how ownership, admin and service roles work as a one-person shop grows into a team.
Clients and marketing
Communicate and build trust, use short-form video content to keep clients coming back, and plan around seasonal changes.
Starting budget and ROI
Calculate how much money you need to start and how long it takes to earn it back.

Who teaches it?
I'm Stefan Nikolić. In January 2016 my brother and I launched Titanium LTD in Belgrade, importing and distributing Chemical Guys, XPEL and later Auto Finesse across Serbia, and running our own detailing shop. I handled the brand and marketing side, taught detailing workshops, and worked on cars from interior cleans to full paint protection film installs. Read my full story.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need detailing experience before taking this course?
The course is about the business, not the craft, so you will still need to deliver good work. If you haven't learned the techniques yet, the interior, exterior and polishing courses on this site cover them.
Do I need a business background?
No. Every formula and framework is explained step by step, and ready-to-use templates are included.
How do I price car detailing services?
Start from your true costs: fixed costs, materials and your time, then add the profit you need. The Costs and Pricing section of the course walks through this, including a hands-on pricing calculation lesson.
Is this course about mobile detailing?
It focuses on opening a detailing shop: location, working space and team structure are part of it. Market research, pricing and marketing apply to a mobile business too, but the course doesn't cover mobile setup.
What is included with the course?
About one hour of on-demand video in 19 lessons and six sections, 6 downloadable resources, an article, closed captions, a certificate of completion, and access on mobile and TV.
How much does the course cost?
Udemy sets the price and often runs discounts, so the current price is shown on the course page.
Should I learn the craft or the business first?
If you can't yet deliver consistent results, learn the craft first, because customers pay for the work. If your skills are already solid and you're planning a shop, start with the business side so your prices and plan are ready before you open.
